100th A380 To Malaysia Airlines

Video images of the aircraft undertaking taxiing and flight tests has emerged, showing the aircraft sporting a "100th A380" marker on its forward fuselage, beneath the carrier's titles.

Malaysia Airlines ordered six of the type and five have already been delivered. It is one of two carriers - China Southern Airlines being the other - to have received an A380 over the first two months of 2013.

These deliveries have brought the global A380 fleet to 99, Airbus's latest order figures confirm.

In February the airframer registered orders for 41 aircraft - including 25 A350s - all for lessor Air Lease, bar a pair of A330-300s for Turkish Airlines.

They bring net orders for the year so far to 162 while Airbus has delivered a total of 80.

Among these deliveries was an A318 to a private customer on 20 February, emptying Airbus's order backlog for the smallest A320 variant. The airframer has handed over a total of 79 A318s since the first was delivered a decade ago.

  2. Good news for you Shin Yong, now you have Malindo Air, the new hybrid low cost airline in Malaysia. Experience almost full service airline services at a low price. Seats are bigger than AirAsia and yet, to me, way better services. :)
