Christina Aguilera‘s just-wrapped Twitter Q&A revealed a boatload of details surrounding her highly-anticipated new album, including its title, release month, and first single’s smoking hot cover art.
Xtina is titling her new set Lotus. Why? She explains, “Lotus. Representing an unbreakable flower that survives under the hardest conditions and still thrives.”
As for what Lotus will sound like, Xtina says, “Conceptually I didn’t target one particular sound/genre. I made music that felt good.”
Lotus’ first single, the sexy “Your Body,” has already hit the internet in varying degrees of completion, but its official premiere will be this Friday, September 14, at radio and September 17 on iTunes, Xtina revealed. She also unveiled the track’s sizzling single cover, which features Xtina’s bodacious curves on full display. See it here.
A preview of the music video for “Your Body” will premiere on Monday’s episode of Xtina’s night job, The Voice.
Lotus, which is the follow-up to 2010′s Bionic, will be released in November.
