Kelly Clarkson kicked up her feet and and had a blast while shooting her music video for the new single Dark Side. The first season American Idol champ was spotted getting ready for her close-up yesterday on a grimy, graffiti filled street in Los Angeles.

Kelly kept things casual in an off the shoulder orange top, black leggings and white flip-flops.

She even mugged for the cameras throughout the shoot and was spotted jumping into the air with Erin.

The Grammy winning singer later glammed up and flaunted her feminine curves in a black evening grown with green and white accents down the front.

She paired the look with gladiator style heels and wore her hair styled into long curls.

Dark Side is the third single off of the brunette beauty's latest album, Stronger.

But the release of the single isn't the only thing she's celebrating.

Kelly celebrated her 30th birthday last week and shared the news with her Twitter followers.

The singer tweeted: 'Today I am 30 years old YEAHHHHHHHH!!!! I am happy, healthy, and looking forward to my thirties! Have an awesome day everybody!'

She is also celebrating a renewed wave of career success.

Kelly's CD Stronger has been certified gold after selling 756,000 copies in the US.

After serving as a guest mentor on The Voice, The Miss Independent singer has also been announced as one of the stars of new ABC programme Duets, alongside Lionel Richie, Robin Thicke and Jennifer Nettles.
