Air France Launches Private Jet

Forget chauffeur-driven airport transfers, Air France is taking things one step further with the launch of a private jet service, offering a swift and easy way to catch long-haul flight connections at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. First Class customers travelling in the La Première cabin on Air France, along with their companions travelling in Business Class, will be able to travel in style to and from the airport on a private jet.

After revealing its new haute couture La Première suites, Air France is continuing to upgrade its most exclusive cabin by offering a completely bespoke trip from start to finish, including optimized connection time at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.

The private jet services are operated by Wijet in Cessna Citation Mustang-type aircraft, which can take-off from or to 1,200 airports in France in Europe within two and a half hours of Paris; an ideal solution for flying to a destination which is not served by a major airport or which is closer to home. Customers can also choose their own departure time.

At the jet’s departure airport there are no check-in formalities and boarding is immediate, ensuring a swift and easy way to get to Paris. At the arrival airport, customers disembark with their baggage without waiting.

When they board an Air France private jet, customers enjoy a private cabin with just four large leather club seats. Two of the seats recline to 140°, meaning passengers can sit back and relax during the flight in a particularly quiet cabin. Inside the cabin there are folding shelves as well as plenty of personal storage space for bags, while the aircraft’s baggage holds provide a significant volume of 1.6 m3.

Passengers are offered a selection of alcoholic or soft drinks and French pastries or a lunch box during the flight. Daily newspapers, magazines, touchscreen tablets and free satellite telephone services are also available.

This new service is on offer at particularly competitive fares, 40% cheaper than the fares offered on the market. In addition, La Première customers earn Miles as part of the Flying Blue frequent flyer program. With this completely bespoke offer, the connection between the private jet and the long-haul flight is optimized both on departure and on arrival at Paris-Charles de Gaulle. At each stage of the trip, customers are accompanied by an Air France La Première agent, who will systematically greet them at the door of the aircraft, and escort them to their awaiting car. A limousine is provided between the long-haul flight and the private jet, and vice versa. If the customer wishes, he or she can also go to the La Première lounge, the most exclusive of all Air France lounges.

Baggage is taken care of by Air France, check-in and security checks at the airport are simplified and passengers can board at their convenience on their long-haul flight.

This new service is available starting at €2,400, including taxes and fees to reserve the entire jet (for one or multiple passengers) for a round trip to or from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. The return flight must be made within two days after the outgoing trip.

Travelers can book their trip using the standard reservation methods or through the dedicated La Première customer hotline, which is open 24/7 at +33 (0) 1 56 93 10 05.
