Top 10 Supertall Under Construction 2014

Here are my top 10 picks of supertalls (Skyscraper which are >300meters) under construction at the moment. I really can't wait for all these amazing towers to be finished. Just thought of writing something different for the time being.

10. Seoul Lotte World Tower

Lotte World Tower is a 123-floor, 556 metres supertall skyscraper currently under construction in the second-generation Lotte World complex in Seoul, South Korea.

8. Suzhou Zhongnan Center 

Suzhou Zhongnan Center is a supertall skyscraper proposed for construction in Suzhou. The tower will be 729m | 2392ft tall.[1] Suzhou Center Plaza located in the Central Business District of Suzhou, to the west of Jinji Lake. The tower is a part of large urban development project, Suzhou Industrial Park and its estimated cost of this plaza is 28.5 billion yuan.

7. Jeddah Kingdom Tower

Kingdom Tower ‎‎ Burj al Mamlakah, previously known as Mile-High Tower , is a skyscraper currently under construction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at a preliminary cost of SR4.6 billion (US$1.23 billion). It will be the centrepiece and first phase of a SR75 billion (US$20 billion) proposed development known as Kingdom City that will be located along the Red Sea on the north side of Jeddah. If completed as planned, the tower will reach unprecedented heights, becoming the tallest building in the world, as well as the first structure to reach the one-kilometre-high mark.

5. Chicago Spire


When originally proposed as the Fordham Spire in July 2005, the design had 116 stories.Chicago developer Christopher T. Carley of the Fordham Company was spearheading the project. The building was planned to include a hotel and condominiums and also featured a tall broadcast antenna mast.

4. Beijing China Zun

China Zun (Chinese: 中国尊) is a supertall skyscraper under construction in the Central Business District of Beijing, capital of the People's Republic of China. The 108-storey 528-metre building is purported to be the tallest in the city, and its height will surpass that of China World Trade Center Tower III by 190 metres.

3. Kuala Lumpur Warisan Merdeka



The Warisan Merdeka (Heritage of Independence) is a 1,957 ft (596 m), 118-storey skyscraper proposed to be built in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with a budget of RM5 billion. When completed in 2018, it will be the tallest building in Malaysia, succeeding the Petronas Twin Towers, which has 88 stories

It is planned to be constructed within the vicinity of Plaza Rakyat, Victoria Institution, Merdeka Stadium and Stadium Negara

2. Chow Tai Fook Centre


The CTF Guangzhou formerly Chow Tai Fook Centre or Guangzhou East Tower is a skyscraper under construction in Guangzhou, China. It will be the second of the two Guangzhou Twin Towers skyscrapers overlooking the Pearl River in Guangzhou.

1. Shanghai Tower


The Shanghai Tower is a supertall skyscraper under construction in Lujiazui, Pudong, Shanghai. Designed by Gensler, it is the tallest of a group of three adjacent supertall buildings in Pudong, , the other two being the Jin Mao Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center. Construction work on the tower began in November 2008.

  1. yang Malaysia tower tu confuse sikit yang mana satu betul??,,610 meters or 683 meters???,,Malaysia tu alang2 nak buat biar lah tinggi nya bolih termasuk dalam top 10 tallest building in the worlds after 2020,,bcos negara2 lain pun progress melebihi 650 meters semua tak lah terkilan sangat sedangkan china yg Negara gempabumi pun berani melebihi 650 meter sekarang semuanya dlm progress,,Malaysia terkweluar dari jajaran gempa tak kan lh tak berani??orang kata alang-alang menyelup biar sampai ke pangkal lengan,tak lah regret sangat,,kalau 600 meter tu ketinggalan sudah,,
