Virgin America wanted their passenger's thoughts on the new First Class ice cream served in their swanky premium cabins, so they took to Twitter for a final decision. Designed specifically for the airline by San Fransisco-based ice creamery Humphry Slocombe, three unique flavors now complement Virgin America's existing Tahitian vanilla. Either Red Hot Banana (banana ice cream with Red Hot candies), Butter By Moodlight (buttery with a blueberry glaze) or Coconut Blonde Ambition (vanilla marshmallow fluff meets lemon sorbet) will make it the trays for transcontinental flyers.
The folks over at United have revamped their inflight meals to include more options for gluten-free flyers. Up at the pointy end, international passengers can safely dine with wheat-free salad dressings, while Global First enjoys Gluten-free soups. Those flying in economy will have more options in the Tapas, Savory, and Classic snack boxes served up on domestic flights over two hours domestically (and to and from South America).
The airline is also hopping on the Greek yoghurt craze by plating up some Chobani Flip Greek yogurt to the breakfast options for its Bistro on Board menu on p.s. flights between New York-Kennedy and Los Angeles or San Francisco.

Malaysia Airlines has called upon British celebrity chef Richard Corrigan to create their first and business class meals on the A380 from London to Kuala Lumpur. Beef Wellington, Ballotine of chicken poached in coconut milk, lobster bisque, and a smoked fish platter sit beside traditional Malay cuisine including the airline's signature dish of satay. Launched last month, the menu is part of a service upgrade to match enhanced luxury onboard the superjumbo.
