MAS To Organise Walk-A-Fund On Sunday To Raise Funds For Mercy

Malaysia Airlines (MAS) is organising a 6km walkathon from its academy in Kelana Jaya on Sunday to raise funds for Mercy Malaysia's Humanitarian Fund.

Its Head of Strategic Communications Datuk Najmuddin Abdullah said the walkathon named "MH Walk-A-Fund" is an extension to the on-going fund raising campaign called "Change for Charity" where contributions were sought from Malaysia Airlines' guests both on-board and at the national carrier's ticketing counters.

"We are expecting a large turnout of at least 2,000 participants and visitors to the Walk-A-Fund and also to the carnival," which will be held in conjunction with the walk, he said in a statement, here, today.

He said the national carrier will also open its Heritage Museum for the public to view various articles on display, among others, old cabin crew uniforms and old aircraft engines.

He said Malaysia Airlines and Mercy Malaysia have been in partnership since 2004 to provide support and relief to victims of natural disasters.
