GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, Thursday announced a purchase-and-leaseback transaction for four new Boeing 737-800 aircraft with Malaysia Airlines (MAS).
In a statement, GECAS said the first two aircraft were delivered in January and the remaining aircraft would be handed to MAS in March and April.
MAS, the flag carrier of Malaysia, operates a fleet of more than 100 aircraft to more than 80 destinations worldwide and is a member of the oneworld alliance.
GECAS, the US and Irish commercial aircraft financing and leasing business of GE, has a fleet of over 1,620 owned and serviced aircraft with over 230 airlines.
