Dear Journal

“So tonight I reach for my journal again. This is the first time I’ve done this since I came back. What I write in my journal is that I am weak and full of fear. I explain that Depression and Loneliness have shown up, and I’m scared they will never leave. I say that I don’t want to take the drugs anymore, but I’m frightened I will have to. I am terrified that I will never really pull my life together.
In response, somewhere from within me, rises a now-familiar presence, offering me all the certainties I have always wished another person would say to me when I was troubled. This is what I find myself writing on the page:

I’m here. I love you. I don’t care if you need to stay up crying all night long. I will stay with you. If you need the medication again, go ahead and take it—I will love you through that, as well. If you don’t need the medication, I will love you, too. There’s nothing you can ever do to lose my love. I will protect you until you die, and after your death I will still protect you. I am stronger than Depression and Braver than Loneliness and nothing will ever exhaust me.

Tonight, this strange interior gesture of friendship—the lending of a hand from
me to myself when nobody else is around to offer solace—reminds me of something that happened to me once in New York City. I walked into an office building one afternoon in a hurry, dashed into the waiting elevator. As I rushed in, I caught an unexpected glance of myself in a security mirror’s reflection. In that moment, my brain did an odd thing—it fired off this split-second message: “Hey! You know him! That’s a friend of yours!” And I actually ran forward toward my own reflection with a smile, ready to welcome that man whose name I had lost but whose face was so familiar. In a flash instant of course, I realized my mistake and laughed in embarrassment at my almost doglike confusion over how a mirror works. But for some reason that incident comes to mind again tonight during my sadness here, and I find myself writing this comforting reminder at the bottom of the page.

Never forget that once upon a time, in an unguarded moment, you recognized yourself as a FRIEND…

I fell asleep holding my iPad pressed against my chest, open to this most recent assurance. In the morning when I wake up, I can still smell a faint trace of depression’s lingering smoke, but he himself is nowhere to be seen. Somewhere during the night, he got up and left. And his buddy loneliness beat it, too.”

Marilyn Monroe

What does this name strike you when it is mention? Sex symbols, actress, singer? But did you know that all she ever wanted is just to be loved? She was just a girl that just like you. Who just believe in love and knowingly love is the only thing she wasn't able to hold on. Well, like many actors and actresses nowadays. Many of them are really great artists. But tabloids make them into such jokes and fools. This post was inspire by the recent hit musical television series I am on to SMASH. And getting to know more about an icon like her. I guess I wanna do my part to give her a heads up on her career and life.

Actress. Born Norma Jeane Mortenson (later baptized as Norma Jeane Baker) on June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles, California. During her all-too-brief life, Marilyn Monroe overcame a difficult childhood to become of the world's biggest and most enduring sex symbols. She never knew her father, and her mother Gladys, developed psychiatric problems and was eventually placed in a mental institution. Growing up, Monroe spent much of her time in foster care and in an orphanage. In 1937, a family friend and her husband, Grace and Doc Goddard, took care of her for a few years. But when Doc's job was transferred in 1942 to the East Coast, the couple could not afford to bring Monroe with them.

During her growing up part of her life. She was living I would say fear. The whole society doesn't believe what she had. That burning passion to be a star. She was afraid to be crazy like her mother. People thinks she is crazy because she want things. But we all do want things in life too. But how many of us are able to be as courageous as she? Against all odds. Making to the silver screen. Monroe had a successful career as a model when she just started. She dreamt of becoming an actress like Jean Harlow and Lana Turner.

Her small part in John Huston's crime drama The Asphalt Jungle (1950) garnered her a lot of attention. That same year she impressed audiences and critics alike as Claudia Caswell in All About Eve. In 1953, Monroe made a star-making turn in Niagara, starring as a young married woman out to kill her husband with help from her lover. The emerging sex symbol was paired with another bombshell, Jane Russell, for the musical comedy Gentlemen Prefer Blondes(1953). The film was a hit and Monroe continued to find success in a string of light comedic fare, such as How to Marry a Millionaire with Betty Grable and Lauren Bacall, There's No Business like Show Business (1954) with Ethel Merman and Donald O'Connor, and The Seven Year Itch (1955). With her breathy voice and hourglass figure, Monroe became a much-admired international star.

Ok, I will make that history part a brief one. But what and how she really inspire me. Or I shall put it us?

Marilyn, We Hardly Knew You
She revealed many facets of her character that few people were privy to. Growing up, she was introverted and shy - a far cry from the woman whose character quickly captured everyone’s attention. “You know, most people don’t really know me,”

Many assumed that Marilyn craved the attention, but she blatantly confessed the extent of her fears and insecurities, which were significant for someone in the spotlight. She stated, “I’m trying to prove to myself that I’m a person. Then maybe I’ll convince myself that I’m an actress.” she looked great but was clearly troubled. She left her fans with the impression that she was a complicated person with a somewhat child-like view of the world.

“Fame has a special burden.”
Even though Marilyn Monroe made a number of successful movies, her studio had once said to her “you’re not a star”. However, while driving to the airport, she saw her name in bright lights at a movie house and deduced that she was indeed famous since her name was up there for all to see.

This newly found fame introduced many problems in her life. “An actor is not a machine, no matter how much they want… everyone is always tugging at you. They’d all like sort of a chunk of you,” with regard to what people expected from her (perhaps more than was possible from one person). Her reaction to fame was clearly defined in this comment: “It's nice to be included in people's fantasies but you also like to be accepted for your own sake. I don't look at myself as a commodity, but I'm sure a lot of people have.”

Marilyn believed that people judged actors by what they read about them in tabloids, or by watching them in one of their movies, but according to her, some things should be kept personal and private. In fact, Monroe refused to let Life Magazine take any pictures of her home saying, “I don’t want everybody to see exactly where I live, what my sofa or my fireplace looks like. Do you know the book Everyman? Well, I want to stay just in the fantasy of everyone.” While she was surrounded by people all the time, there were a certain few who were closer than the rest, and she remarked that those friends would “accept you the way you are.”

Farewell Marilyn

"The least I can do is give them the best they can get from me. What's the good of drawing in the next breath if all you do is let it out and draw in another?" Indeed, Marilyn gave her best during a very short career. What really hit me was the interview with Life Magazine. Quote :  “Please don't make me a joke. End the interview with what I believe. I don't mind making jokes, but I don't want to look like one ... I want to be an artist, an actress with integrity.”

On August 3, 1962, two days before the actress died at the young age of 36. We should keep in mind this particularly memorable line from Marilyn: “…you can read about yourself but what’s important is how you feel about yourself.”

I somehow will end this post here. To those who knows me. I guess this set in perfectly. Thank you for always being there for me. Especially those who truly didn't judge me and kept on loving me. You know who I am talking about. And I know this will lead me to wonderful things to come in life. It is just where it starts right at the very end. With love.

Mr & Mrs Smith

Mr & Mrs Smith, simply the folks next door.
This song really touched me very much. I am starting this post with the first vers of the chorus and ends with the last vers of the song. Honestly, I did tell my close friend that what I really wanted in life before. Just something simple and out of the picture.

Guess sometimes it was just a little too much attention we tend to get the pressure of the outside world. I recently also get to know my arranger Foong has also been into a relationship which has lasted foe 7 years and going on strong. I think really when we choose to associate with in life. I am now blessed with really great people in life. No judgement, not pretence. I am happy with my life now to be honest.

When it comes to the part of relationships, what more I wanna ask for if there is a lovely family that supported me for all I wanted, friends who gave their blessings and love without all the drama. As far as I can see now in life, I would gladly say that things are well. I am free to feel how I am feeling from time to time. And knowing my friends wouldn't judge me nor anything but just be there go through with me. I don't know, but I do feel loved and really being cared by all.

For what more I wanted in fame, career, and power. No any more I guess. If anyone would ask me what I wanted now in life, just someone to spend life with. To share that moment we use to have and grow old with. Out of the picture. Just as what the lyrics of this song says. What really matters to me is just me and you.

I know that there are many many more things we wanna achieve now in life. Taking one step a day and being there for each other. Things will unfold itself. Just like how the song ends.
No one but Mr, no one but Mrs Smith and you.

Beyond My Wildest Dream

A Walk with you in the silence of the night ,
when you can feel each step,
each sigh,
when the warmth of your hand
can share your emotional state
and each word takes on special significance
and reflects the unique attitude to each other
- everything beyond my wildest dreams.

A kiss is just a kiss till
you find the one you love.
A hug is just a hug
till you find the one
you're always thinkin' of.
A dream is just a dream
till it comes true.
Love was just a word
till I heard it from you.

- everything beyond my wildest dreams.

Just a pure article by inspiration. Something to start my day with love. No more monday blues.. Will be a busy day today with all the meetings and so on. Crazy yes but I will manage. I know I have been feeling lovey dovey these few days. But yeah, its a good feeling. Just another way to make our busy day crazy with some love.

Let Me Be Your Star - SMASH

There is more drama behind the scenes than on stage, as the team prepares an ambitious Broadway musical on the life of Marilyn Monroe. Smash is an American musical drama series created by Theresa Rebeck and produced by Steven Spielberg.

The series is broadcast in the United States on NBC, and is a production of DreamWorks Television. It premiered on February 6, 2012.  This series is purely mind blowing and extremely breathe taking. The songs are fantastic to start with. With already 3 episodes aired I am already craving for the forth which will air on February 27, 2012.

I have to be honest it has taken my attention to it. Yes I may be a little crazy when it comes to music. But not every kinda music drives me mad. I wish I could put on to my playlist one of my favourite - Let Me Be Your Star. This song made me have that same feeling when I was in the talks to take up the musical for Oz. It somehow show the real life on going things to those who are in the theatre life. All the drama and arguments. It is as the same as what is happening in real life. And many more issues which I won't be elaborate it here. He whole show was as real as it gets.
at
And I think it is time someone to do this. making the icon of the century - Marilyn Monroe on television. She will drives all of us to understand her more. To me, she is a truly misunderstood artist there is in our life time. She delivers us to how her life and hard work is done. The passion and fire of her burning desire to be a star. And she did everything that she could. Against all odds. Fighting with her own demons, fearing to be as crazy as her mother was. And it wasn't her sexy icon she was trying to mark her presence. It was her will which is. She was as normal as all walks of life. Just wanted to be loved. I guess it is high time to bring this misunderstanding to an end to a true icon. And who are we talking about to make this right than Steven Spielberg as the producer! Many thinks that this show will come up to prime time and be as a clear competition to Glee. Which is not. The target audience are different, in depth of the music are different, totally into Broadway I would say. Not show stage. Every song in there are totally non commercial at all. Putting us into the emotions they are trying to deliver. A much more adult contemporary I would say.

This is a perfect television series made for us to understand much more than just the drama is going on. It is giving a voice to the helplessness of people who are in the business. For them to understand more about how a musical Broadway Show is being produced and the life of these people who are clearly being misunderstood by the public. And also a reminder to the people who are in the business about what are the right ethical things we should practice. Brava, Brava to the creators of Smash! I really do await for more to come.

Here are the list of awesome actors and actresses that make this television series possible.

Cast and character

  • Debra Messing as Julia Houston, a songwriter/lyricist and the musical's co-writer
  • Jack Davenport as Derek Wills, the brilliant (and womanizing) director of the musical, who is hoping for a breakout with the musical even if it means putting the lead in a compromising position
  • Katharine McPhee as Karen Cartwright, an Iowan who lands a successful audition and becomes the favorite for the role of Monroe.
  • Christian Borle as Tom Levitt, Julia's co-writing partner on the project
  • Megan Hilty as Ivy Lynn, a veteran actress who was favored to land the Monroe lead until Karen came into the picture, and finds herself competing with the newcomer.
  • Raza Jaffrey as Dev Sundaram, Karen's live-in boyfriend, who works at the Mayor's office
  • Brian d'Arcy James as Frank Houston, Julia's husband, who dislikes theater and whenever Julia works on something new with Tom.
  • Jaime Cepero as Ellis Tancharoen, Tom's personal assistant who is attempting to receive credit for Marilyn
  • Anjelica Huston as Eileen Rand, the musical's tenacious producer, who is dealing with divorce proceedings from her husband, which could threaten the musical

Valentine's Day All Star

Ok, here I go again with something mushy with movies. I was some sorta watching Valentine's Day All Stars. It's sorta like an american thing that they should have this once a year to gather all stars to feature in one movie. And one of my favourites is this. So here is the reviews

The best and really only sensible thing to say about the dire romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day,” which is neither romantic nor remotely comedic, is that it makes you appreciate and long for the breeziness, acting and basic competency — the decent lighting, focused cameras and choreographed action — of “Love Actually,” the ingratiating British movie it transparently and ineptly rips off. What else? The movie poster for “Valentine’s Day” that features more than a dozen performers is something of a bait and switch: Ashton Kutcher seems to get more face time than anyone else, including actually good performers like Julia Roberts and Anne Hathaway.
Jessica Alba and Ashton Kutcher in “Valentine's Day,” a romantic comedy that also stars Julia Roberts, Shirley MacLaine, Taylor Swift, Eric Dane and others.
Directed by Garry Marshall, whose on-set presence is confirmed solely by a late-act cameo, “Valentine’s Day” crams more than a dozen near-famous, truly famous and “why in the world are they famous?” faces — Jamie Foxx, Shirley MacLaine, Eric Dane, Taylor Lautner — into a lazily interlaced story similarly stuffed with an astonishment of clichés. Set in Los Angeles — Look, there’s the Hollywood sign! And palm trees! And beaches! — the movie involves a miscellany of men and women of varying backgrounds, ages and skin tones who laugh and weep through an assortment of contrived setups. One man pops the question with his heart on his sleeve, while another two-times his way through separate sets of sheets. The women meanwhile sigh and smile in and out of their clothes.
Mr. Kutcher plays a florist whose business is so healthy that he lives in a neighborhood where the houses start at more than a million easy, while Jennifer Garner plays a schoolteacher who drives a car that costs about half of what her character probably earns in a year. Together with the rest of the cast they live in a Los Angeles rich in old-school stereotypes (fat people are good for jokes, as are ethnic types with strong accents) leavened by some new-age attitudes. One story thread, for instance, follows a gay man who comes out with dignity, if also with the usual cheap jokes: I’m right with you, someone says, just not behind you.
Ensemble movies are a Hollywood staple, but this one comes with a contemporary spin because every performer seems to have been tapped for a niche demographic, perhaps to reflect today’s fractured entertainment world. There are two dreamy doctors from “Grey’s Anatomy” (Mr. Dane and Patrick Dempsey) for fans of that series. The “Twilight” set can thrill to Mr. Lautner. Country-music lovers might be happy to know that Taylor Swift makes her first and quite possibly last big-screen appearance here. Maxim readers have two Jessicas, Alba (not bad) and Biel (not good), to pant after as well as Ms. Garner, who flashes her tight end. Movie lovers meanwhile can sigh at Ms. MacLaine and remember the good old glamorous days.
Tellingly, Julia Roberts serves the same function. Although she barely has anything to do, other than shove a lump down your throat during her shamelessly opportunistic segment, she plays an interesting extra-cinematic role in “Valentine’s Day” just by being the only genuine movie star in it. (Ms. MacLaine has emeritus status, while Mr. Foxx’s stardom flickers more than beams.) Ms. Roberts doesn’t need to swallow a picture whole with her smile to have an impact: just the sight of her inspires a certain longing. You could, you realize, be watching “My Best Friend’s Wedding” or even “Pretty Woman,” the Garry Marshall fantasy that made her a star and that most likely explains why she bothered with this sludge. (Ms. Roberts, no longer an ingénue, doesn’t need to play the happy hooker anymore.)
The absence of performers who hold the screen with beauty and the mystery of their personality partly accounts for why “Valentine’s Day” comes across like bad television, specifically an extended (and interwined) episode of “Love, American Style,” the anthology show (1969-74) that paved the way for the ensemble likes of “The Love Boat.” “Valentine’s Day” might have a more recognizable cast than an average episode of “Love, American Style,” but it’s grim grim grim. This might not be the Titanic of romantic comedies (it’s tugboat size), but it’s a disaster: cynically made, barely directed, terribly written. But quick: there’s still time to escape!
But even with that review, I did tear myself up with this movie. Why, I mean that part when Ashton wanna warm Jennifer with how an asshole the boyfriend is. I guess some part of the movie I could really relate. Falling in love with your best friend without knowing it. And that part that tear you down. But in many ways, I am not complaining about what is happening in my life. I am on the other hand, happy with what I have. I kinda know what I wanna do with the love I have for that special one in my life. But this movie is an awesome flick to watch and feel the beautiful part what love actually is. The bitter sweet, heart broken moments, and the moment the love blossoms. Everyone in life deserve this kinda love. Nothing will cost for true love. The thing that what we treasures is what we have at this moment. So to all the lovers out there. This is for everyone. Like how the movie ends. The 3 words that everyone wanna hear. "Lets Get Naked" Joking guys~ I do enjoy this movie very much~

Rocking On!

Today was really getting me going and on. I do seriously think music is a strong part that can move emotions. I have been blasting full on all the rock songs I have on my iTunes. I don't know about you. But sometimes when there is a choice in life what to feel. I know with all the stressed and all, I could easily fall back to my misery. Blasting of with Kara Dioguardi, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert, My Chemical Romance and many many more. It just somehow made me keep on wanting to work on!

I guess all of us are prone to the negativity as we feel in life. But as of now what I see, what's wrong with a little rain. Without it we couldn't possibly get our rainbow isn't it? I know for the past few weeks I have been down and dark. But now all I feel is full force on my upcoming musical and working everything out. Yes time is on our way but I know I will pull through.

And on a rainy Sunday, some may feel that it is such a waste to not able to get out or do anything. But for me, I think it is kinda awesome to be. At last I am able to have some of my personal time writing the original songs than working out all day on other things. Yes it is kinda scary when it comes to this. It is like all aspects I need to cover this. It is scary for me as the working culture here is very different. But what the hell with it. I am not complaining about the work load. Just sharing out how I feel. But yes, saying that, I need to thank Nell for expose me to the musical stage scene. It is crazy and mad but yeah, I love the experience very much.

One more great news. After June, I will be start touring with Batman! The dates has come in. I am really awed and thankful to be included to his glamoureous tour! Seriously, look back at what I have been through this 2 months. Its kinda scary but yet its awesome. 2 months now in 2012, so far so good. I come to acknowledge a loving family, and friends, walked back into the river of love. Having the most awesomest angels who totally understands me. What more I wanted? And my loving brother's wedding this coming April. Time to get hard on work and start getting things in life right.

I know what we are surrounded by the evilness of desire. But at times like this, clearly you will see those that appreciates you and never doubted you in life. Being there and walking you through with faith and love. I am blessed to have all the love given to me. I am now just gonna lay back and do what I have to do for myself. For others that I have been too generous of giving till not being appreciated, you know what? I don't really care any more. I know I am rocking on with my life now and YES I WILL ROCK THE WORLD! I will be grateful to those that all I have never thank enough. You guys means everything to me.

There was once my angel told me this.
Don't hold on to those who doesn't cherish you. Hold on to those appreciate you and means the world to you. They accepted all the love and care you have given. Those are the ones that will stay in your life for a life time.

So lets Rock On!!!!
This is how you rock your life on! Crazy and yet embracing the awesome in life!

I Just Love You

This song comes towards me when I was sitting in the car and your face surface. Letting the breeze on my face knowing all the beautiful things we use to have. I smile and tell myself I will never stop loving you. I didn't know you would be this big part of my life now. Knowing you are well always is my only concern. Nothing will make me want you more than that.

We may not be together in the future. But knowing that every breath you take is my living source. Just wanted to have your kiddy side of you being to make life beautiful. Like the lyrics says, I don't know why but I just love you. Especially today waking up and the first thing I saw was you. Knowing you had your rest and I am blessed to see you are perfectly fine everyday. I am not mad any more. I have no more reason to question why why why and why you. Taking every step by the day. Knowing you will still be smiling everyday, you sets me free. Feeling my soul soaring high and that is all that matters to me. Not thinking of the future, not wanting any more but to love you too.

Lonely, yeah, that's the word
I leave my heart when I leave him
The days go on forever, and the nights do, too
One evenin' out on the road
Half a world away from home
I thought he was sleepin' when the call came through
I said "Darlin', it's late; is everything okay?"
Silence took over the room...

'Till he said "I, I just love you. I don't know why; I just do...
When are you comin' home?"
I'm comin' home soon; and I just love you too...

Lonely lets me be
For a while, he sets me free
I close my eyes; and I dream of his
He's lost in my arms; his head on my heart
Then softly, she whispers the words...

"I, I just love you. I don't know why; I just do...
When are you comin' home?"
I'm comin' home soon; and I just love you too...

And I'll never stop bein' amazed
How you knows exactly what to say...

"I just love you. I don't know why; I just do...
When are you comin' home?"
I'm comin' home soon; and I, I just love you, too...
I don't know why; I just do...

Waiting

After a crazy long mad day, I was kinda thinking at times when we are waiting for that moment to arise. Being a little emotional tonight. But I think it is a good kinda of emotional. Somehow listening to many of my unreleased tracks does bring a lot of comfort. I guess somehow I feel complete that I have walked down that lane whatever the end result is. Sometimes life does bring us in and out of this part. I guess all of us will ask sometimes why and what happen. But with some faith, things will unfold itself.

I know somehow it feels weird. But I guess as many of us will just give up hope at times like this. It feels like missing winter. Winter has finally ended. Ah.. thinking of all will be gone when I head back to New York. But I will be looking forward to the next winter! I just love that first snow showers~ It will be just perfect. Missing my life back there.

Listening to a very very old song I wrote 8 years ago. Saving My Heart For You. I guess that is the best part of living. Let ourselves into the memories, and feeling nostalgic with it. What was really in my mind now is I really do wish I had much more memories with you. But somehow glad I still have you in life. At times, we don't really have to talk. We just know sitting there and being there means everything. Honestly, I miss you very much. This song reminds me so much about you. I am grateful I am living now. If I ever gave up my life I will not be proud to feel all this. It really does kill me to know you were so far but I think this is the best for us.

I think I am really being infected by the randomness of my buddies. Writing something that don't really relates. But what the hell with it. I think what I am trying to say that no matter what happens. I will always be here. Waiting what life installs for me. I know now at this very moment, all I needed is some good rest and keep going. I wish I had more time to focus on my personal life at this moment, but I have to put all my attention on the upcoming musical. Sorta having writing blocks at this stage. I needed inspiration. I needed a way to walk out. But somehow I know I will. It will be a beautiful way to wait for it to unfold.

So, signing off for the night peeps. Do have a beautiful weekend my love!

Airbus A330 Family

THE WORLD LEADER

The world leader
The A330 Family has five members – the A330-200, A330-300, A330-200F, A330 Prestige and A330 MRTT – which cover all market segments with one twin-engine aircraft type. The combination of low operating costs, high efficiency, flexibility and optimised performance makes the A330 Family popular with an ever-increasing operator base. Continuous improvement brings the latest technology onboard the A330.
Commonality is further shared across the Airbus product line of widebody and single-aisle aircraft through the use of fly-by-wire controls and cockpits with similar layouts.

MARKET COVERAGE

The versatile A330 Family is a multi-talented aircraft product line that covers all market segments from commercial passenger and freight transportation to VVIP and military roles.  It has become the preferred aircraft for nearly 90 operators, including major airlines and flag carriers, charter and leisure airlines, the new segment of long-haul low-cost carriers, along with governments and in VVIP service.  Some 20 A330 airlines fly both the A330-200 and A330-300 versions, while more than 50 A320 Family operators also have chosen the A330 – benefitting from the Airbus family concept.

TWO PASSENGER VERSIONS

Two passenger versions
A330s are utilised in a full range of conditions – polar and desert conditions, in the North, South, East, West, everywhere.
The A330-300 is the world’s lowest operating cost-per-seat twin-engined aircraft, designed without compromise to do what twins do best. It carries 300 passengers on routes of up to 6,000 nautical miles with outstanding economics.
The shorter-fuselage A330-200 sets standards in the 250-seat, long-range category. It has the flexibility and economics to operate efficiently on diverse networks with sectors of up to 7,230 nautical miles.

A330-200

The shortest fuselage member of the A330 series provides airlines with excellent range and cargo capacity.

EXCEPTIONAL FLEXIBILITY

The A330-200 is the shorter-fuselage variant of Airbus’ A330 twin-engine widebody family, and has the versatility to cover all ranges from short-haul to true long-haul, with ideal sizing for point-to-point operations.
Its optimised 222-inch fuselage cross-section – which is shared with the other members of Airbus’ A330/A340 Family – accommodates 253 passengers in a comfortable two-class cabin layout that provides more window and aisle seats in much quieter cabins.  As a modern jetliner, the A330-200 accepts the latest in-flight entertainment, including video-on-demand, mobile telephone and e-mail via satellite.
Another advantage of the A330-200’s fuselage is its large-capacity underfloor cargo holds, which accommodate industry-standard LD3 containers in side-by-side loading, as well as 96-inch pallets.
The A330-200 is well established with major carriers around the world, and has become a preferred aircraft for charter and leisure operators, as well as the growing low-cost long-haul market segment.  With Airbus commonality in cockpit and cabin systems, an increasing number of airlines that fly the single-aisle A320 Family are discovering the advantages of stepping up to the widebody A330-200 for higher-capacity, longer-range service.

UPGRADES AND IMPROVEMENTS

Upgrades and improvements
Airbus’ continuous investment in the A330 Family benefits the A330-200 version by lowering costs and improving operations. This includes system upgrades and improvements, the introduction of advanced navigation aids and new-generation flight instrumentation, and engine upgrades.  Updated passenger cabin features developed for the A330 include state-of-the-art LED lighting, smoother contours with softened lines and new interior styling – all of which provide a lighter, brighter and more spacious interior.

A higher takeoff weight capability of 238 tonnes has been developed by Airbus for the A330-200 with no increase in the aircraft’s empty weight – giving it an endurance of 7,250 nautical miles or an additional 3.4 tonnes of payload.

LONG-RANGE CREW ACCOMMODATIONS

For long-distance operations, the A330-200 can be fitted with innovative crew rest areas. A secure rest facility for pilots with one or two bunks is designed to be located next to the cockpit for easy, rapid access.  A mobile rest area for cabin crews can be installed in the aircraft’s lower-deck aft cargo hold and accessed by a stair from the main cabin – thereby eliminating any impact on passenger seating.  Based on a 96 X 125-inch pallet, this cabin crew facility can have up to seven bunks and be removed in 50 minutes for shorter flight operations not requiring crew rest accommodations.

The A330-300 brings Airbus widebody efficiency to airline operations on longer-haul routes.

RANGE AND COMFORT

Range and comfort
The stretched-fuselage A330-300 matches twin-engine efficiency with increased passenger capacity – all while retaining the A330 Family’s highly comfortable, low noise cabin and operating commonality with the entire Airbus fly-by-wire product line.  This jetliner has a range of up to 5,450 nautical miles while carrying 300 passengers in a typical two-cabin arrangement, seating 36 in first or business class at a 60-inch seat pitch, and 264 in coach at 32-inch pitch.

Its designed-in flexibility allows airlines to integrate Airbus’ innovative crew rest facilities without giving up revenue passenger seats.  A secure flight crew location next to the cockpit accommodates one or two bunks, while a pallet-mounted rest area with up to seven bunks for cabin personnel is designed for loading under the main deck, with accessibility via a stair in the centre-left passenger cabin.

FAMILY TRAITS

As a member of the popular A330 Family, the A330-300 benefits from demonstrated reliability, performance and unbeatable operating costs in service to more than 250 airports worldwide, logging 15 million-plus flight hours and more than 3.6 million flight cycles with over 80 carriers.
Many also profit from Airbus commonality: some 20 A330 customers utilise both A330-300s and the shorter-fuselage A330-200; while pilots with approximately 30 carriers practice mixed-fleet flying by using A330-300/200 jetliners along with four-engine A340s, or A330s alongside single-aisle A320 Family aircraft.
The A330-300 incorporates Airbus’ latest technology, which includes its digital fly-by-wire flight controls, a high-efficiency wing, and more than 10 tonnes of lightweight composite structures in its airframe. A lighter, brighter and more spacious cabin results from updated features that include smoother contours, new interior styling, state-of-the-art LED lighting and newly-designed air conditioning units.  Also available is appealing mood lighting and a choice of overhead storage options with optimised bin designs.

EXTRA CARGO REVENUE

Extra cargo revenue
Airbus’ 222-inch fuselage cross-section provides unmatched comfort on the main deck, while also offering large underfloor holds that open up opportunities for extra revenue from cargo.  These holds accept industry-standard LD3 containers in side-by-loading, facilitating cargo processing and interlining.  In a typical arrangement, six 96-inch pallets or 18 LD3 containers can be accommodated in forward zone; while its aft cargo hold can handle such loads as 12 LD3 containers along with one 96-inch pallet, plus bulk cargo.
Continuous improvement applied by Airbus to its jetliner product line results in lower costs and better operations for the A330-300.  This ranges from weight reductions, introduction of modern cabins, and system improvements to engine upgrades and advanced navigation systems in the cockpit.  They also result in longer maintenance check intervals.

GREENER, CLEANER & QUIETER

Caring for the environment, the A330 Family environmental footprint is better than the standards of today and tomorrow.  With its low noise and emissions levels, A330s fly greener and quieter –supported by Airbus’ long-term commitment to further enhancing the eco-efficiency of its jetliner product line.
